Elemental Stewardship
The four elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water are often invoked into our sacred spaces. Yet we often do so without fully understanding what that means or how to perform the duties of an elemental steward. This class will talk about what it means to be an Elemental Steward in ritual, spiritual community and in one's own life; and how to prepare for this powerful work.
Presenter: Kirk White is Director of the Soulpoint Mystery School's rEvolutions and Elemental Stewardship programs. (1 hour - 1.5 hours?)
Freemasonry and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn
Many modern Pagans do not know that large parts of our spiritual symbols, beliefs, practices and even our sayings such as "Merry Meet" or "So Mote It Be" all come from Freemasonry and its offshoot, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. We'll talk about the history, symbols, rituals and practices of these organizations, how they influenced modern Paganism in the past and how they continue to do so even today. There will be props, costumes and show-and-tell.
Presenter: Kirk White has been actively involved in various fraternal, esoteric and ceremonial orders including the Masons and the HOGD for many years. (1 hour - 2 hours)
Other featured presenters:
Auntie Shema- 1000 Cranes
This year we will be sending our wishes for a healed planet out upon the wings of Origami Cranes. In light of all the upheaval across the planet, most recently in Japan, we're taking a page from Japanese legend which says that if you fold 1000 origami cranes a wish will be granted.
Here at A Sacred Place we've been folding cranes for over a month. To add to the magick we're recycling seed catalogs as the paper for these cranes. May the fruitfulness they display fly out across the planet.
We will be offering a class and materials on Saturday, May 28, but if you wish to fold cranes in advance please go to the following site for directions.

Niniann- The Wise Woman & Cunningham as Healers…Herbs every Pagan should know.
Tradition dictates that we should have a stock of medicinal herbs for common ailments, knowledge where to find wildings, and at least a few herbs growing in pots or a garden. You can uphold this tradition by learning some basic skills. Simple tisanes and recipes can help families struggling to keep up with medical costs and food bills. We can all stand to learn a little guerilla herbalism. Learn about inexpensive herbs and what you can do with them to safeguard your health and improve your nutrition.
SpiderJess- Fairy Lore at Dusk
Children and not-quite-grown-ups are invited to gently explore the landscape of the fairy folk who dwell at A Sacred Place. Gather around the labyrinth around 7:00. We'll share fairy fables and lore, and make a special potion with essential oils to wear on our skin and make us invisible as we fade into the evening. Then we'll tiptoe out in pairs to the wood's edge, where we'll build houses, gardens, and play spaces for the fair kin. Listen for the chimes to return back to the labyrinth for fairy tea and one more fairy tale before bedtime. Participants should understand this is a "fair"-ly quiet activity and be willing to try using their fairy wings instead of stomping human feet.
Tchipakkan
Tchipakkan is an artist, writer, healer, and eclectic pagan-heathen-rustic. Tchipakkan speaks while her daughters, Kat and Willow, sell their art at shows through Cabochons, and write, paint, sculpt, etc. the rest of the week. Recent writings include articles in SageWoman, and Hex magazines. Tchipakkan will be teaching four workshops for us:
Introduction to Palmistry:
Reading palms is not hard- in one hour you can walk away with enough of the basic skills to read your own palm, and those of your friends (not that you shouldn’t keep studying!).
Palmistry and Character
The most useful aspect of palmistry is learning about yourself, which gives you better control for building your future. Includes Dermatoglypics (fingerprints).
Palmistry and Health
This workshop is specifically about the things palmistry can tell healers about their clients. Not only is there what you can learn from the health line, but also the nails, and health signs in the head, heart and life lines, as well as color, spots, and other marks. Will also cover Palm Therapy.
Palmistry for Fortune Telling
Here's the "how many children" "how often you will marry" "how long you will live" part of palmistry. We'll also cover aspects of ethics of reading, and interaction between the palmist and client, as well as different (Runic, Vedic) systems.
