Performers

Sharon Knight
San Francisco-based songstress Sharon Knight kindles the magic of the Celtic folk soul with her enchanting renditions of traditional classics and poetically rich original songs. Her voice is passionate and expressive as she accompanies herself on mandola, acoustic guitar, and bodhran, luring her audience into the other-worldy mists of a timeless land. Sharon’s songs are songs of love, life, and longing as seen through the eyes of myth and magic. The quality of her music reflects the beauty of nature in its organic rhythms and melodies. The warm resonant tones of wooden instruments blend with Sharon's lush vocals in a way that seems to bring the forest or the sea right up close.

Djoliba Kan with Namory Kieta
Bringing the traditional music of West Africa to New Hampshire. Djoliba Kan plays modern arrangements, as well as traditional songs of Guinea, Mali, and the Ivory Coast.

Joshua Jones
He grew up listening to the big hair guitar gods and dreaming of power chords through a Marshall stack. But Joshua Jones’ real musical journey began after he’d tired of the pre-fabricated songs he played as part of the metal scene. Soon he stashed the electric and picked up an acoustic guitar. In addition to his songwriting and performing skills, Joshua’s years of guitar instruction provides him with the knowledge and ability to do just about anything he wants with a guitar. He is determined to ascend to new levels of mesmerizing guitar work.

Michael Longrider
Michael began playing flutes in 2003 after purchasing his first flute from David Searching Owl. At the 2004 Honor the Spirit Pow-Wow, Michael was overheard playing his flute in the woods by Richard Soaring Owl. Michael accepted an offer to join for an after hour open-mike that evening. At the end of the evening Michael was invited to perform for the public on the second day of the Pow-Wow. Although Michael is not native born he feels his place is walking down the good red road.

Heidi Stone
Folk artist Heidi Stone first began performing at an early age, taking lessons from a classical guitarist and listening to choral works and concertos. She also absorbed hand-me-downs from her cousins, including albums by the Clash, the Beatles, and Henry Mancini, among others. She attempted to learn the drums and the trumpet on top of her guitar playing, but eventually began writing folk music. She eventually released her debut album, Wash It Away, to praise from the folk community. She toured and continued to play live, eventually going back to the studio for 2002's Cup.
