This year, we're pleased to welcome Stone Soup Celidh- The Roving Faire Potluck!
STONE SOUP CEILIDH POTLUCK
WHEN: Evenings at Beltaine- Check the schedule for exact times.
WHAT HAPPENS: We eat, we drink, we hang out. A double handful of hardy volunteers man the grills, and grill/cook anything brought to us.
WHO'S INVITED: Everyone!
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: A bit of food for you, and some to spare if you have it. If you don't have access to shopping, then get in touch with Kate and she will find a runner who can hit the store for you; alternatively, bring a few dollars per person you're bringing to throw at the cooks for their gas, charcoal, etc. Please, BYOB, be it water or whatever .The Ceilidh concerns itself with food, not with beverages. WE TRULY PREFER YOU BRING FOOD. PLEASE DO CASH AS A LAST RESORT.
Popular items in the past have included: burgers, hotdogs, sausage, pork chops, chicken, potatoes, carrots, shrimp, kielbasa, sugar pumpkins, squash, zucchini, beef stew, salad, corn on the cob, fresh fruit, and you name it. Hit a farm stand! Hot cocoa mix, tea, and coffee also a good thing on cold Faire nights. If you are bringing things and shopping, the generally suggested budget is $5 per person per meal--a lot cheaper than even McD's!
Things that would be hard for us to cook would be baked dishes like lasagna.
THINGS THE CEILIDH CAN ALWAYS USE: rolls of tinfoil, salt, pepper, spices, butter, condiments!
DISHES: In the interest of staying green at ASP, please bring your own plates/cups/silverware that can be washed and reused.
We will have on hand some travel grills and camp stoves. Please feel free to step up and cook!
CEILIDH RULES:
1. Eat cheaply, have fun, hang out, socialize, and bring your good manners. We do this for fun!
2. Pick up your own mess, dispose of your own dishes, and if you bring a pot, a knife, a grill, or whatall, please take it back with you afterward.
3. CLEAN UP AFTERWARD IS MANDATORY--WE DO NOT AND WILL NEVER LEAVE A MESS FOR THE EVENT HOSTING US.
