Greetings We will be celebrating with Turning The Wheel – Beltaine again this year at A Sacred Place over Memorial Day weekend, Friday May 28 – Monday May 31. Four days instead of three because there just wasn’t enough time for everything we wanted to do.
This year’s organizing committee is:
Event Coordinator – Brian Chabot – brian@… He’s the man to see about most anything
Merchant’s Coordinator – Tchipakkan – tchipakkan@… She’s the lady to talk to about all things to do with vending
Activities Coordinator – Deb Jarvis (Kyote) – Crowscall@… She’s the lady to talk to if you want to schedule a class, workshop, concert etc.
Land Steward & Facilities – Susan Weiss (Auntie Shema)- ASPCanaanNH@… I’m the one to talk to about helping out in general and Work Exchange specifically We still need someone for Advertising Coordinator and Registration Coordinator.
You can find more information and register online by clicking on the Event Registration buttons.
Gates will open at 2:00 Friday afternoon and close at 2:00 Monday afternoon.
Community gatherings and celebrations are important. We all stay loosely connected during the year via internet, phone, etc but this is one of the few times we can all get together face to face. A virtual {{{HUG}}} pales in comparison to running up to someone you haven’t seen in a year and wrapping your arms around each other….and the economy is still lousy…not to worry.
Until the economy rebounds the fees will be $5.00 / day.
So for the full weekend: Adults $20 … 13-18 are discounted to $15 … children 12 and under are free. Family maximum is $75
We have Work Exchange available contact me directly and we’ll arrange something. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
If you’re in a position to donate a bit more that would be great.
As of right now we do not have a food vendor so you’ll need to bring your own food and coolers, we’ll be doing ice runs. We’re trying to cut down on paper waste so we’re asking folks to also bring their own plates, cups, bowls, and utensils. We’ll be setting up a wash station in the Camp Kitchen area.
Saturday night’s meal will be a potluck and we’re asking everyone to bring a prepared dish to share. Please list the ingredients on a card. We want to avoid any allergic reactions.
Sunday night’s feast will be a Stone Soup, Community Prepared meal. Please bring something unprepared and we’ll see what it all transforms into.
Refrigeration is available in the sandwich station in the Camp Kitchen area. If you put it in there it will be considered a donation.
Medications and infant milk/formula may be stored in the house refrigerator.
Currently we have a number of entertainers and speakers lined up and I’ll add to the list as we receive confirmations
